The fourth test was successful. Living things are the next step, but I think that is just a technicality at this point.

Chyort voz'mi! The panel shorted. It was repaired soon enough, but this means I miscalculated something. I will have to go over everything again before Mr. Scott allows me near the transporter. At least the formula for the coordinates seems to be reliable, if nothing else.

I think I am getting closer to the correct formula but, due to all the different theories, it may take a bit to work several out and test them. Especially when I can only work on them off-shift.
