Yes, yes, I know I meant to do this yesterday.  I had to have a meeting with the head of my company today, so I was a little panicked last night.  Turned out I didn't need to panic since we spent a few minutes discussing Twilight, book club, and the U of Iowa (she went there too), and that as a new employee I should watch out for being a negative worker.  So, I better increase my uppers and chocolate intake, and become wholly unbearable to the rest of the world.

I also looked very cute at work, short skirt and high heels, and you all missed out.

I honestly don't remember what happened last week too much before Friday.  Book club, swing dancing, spent most of the weekend in an allergenic stupor and slept a lot.  Yay, tree pollen.  Bring me my Claritin.  At least I did learn how to Lindy Hop at swing, that I do like rum and coke when it's really watered down, and peach schnapps is yummy.  Bethany has entered a whole new level in my life.  The fact that she managed to simplify Lindy for me enough that I could dance it with Dan kinda blows my mind.  Also, found out my favorite swing dancing skirt does not twirl too high, and manages to keep me modest.  Kudos to Lee for assisting me in that find.  And Hat Ben is my favorite dance partner, if nothing else because he makes me laugh and we both have fun, despite me being three inches taller.

Other than my meetin' with big cheese today, work has just been ugly this week.  Three people out every day, and I leave in the afternoons feeling like I left something undone which I hate, and just too much stuff when I'm trying to get motivated into doing things I have no interest in.  Ugh.

On the upshot, my brother has been around a lot lately which I love because I can go for weeks without actually seeing him sometimes.  We've been working our usual comedy routine... "It's the one-word heckle fantasy tonight, Ghandi, Hitler, vomit!", or "Stop all that spider singing," or "Push out the jive, bring in the love."  Or my personal favorite:

Me: "Quit drinking that Hatorade."
Jack: "Unless it's cherry flavored.  That's delicious."

We also engaged in some Star Wars yoga poses yesterday.  Jack could do Collapsed AT-AT without a description, since the name says it all.  At least, if you've watched The Empire Strikes Back enough times.  I'm thinking after that, they need to make Metal Gear Solid yoga, starting with Box pose.  You know it.  I better go google that.  I'm just so glad Jack's around.  He is the best guy I know, bathroom habits aside.  Gary Lightbody runs a close second, but Jack's more accessible, and doesn't mind if I borrow his Clash cds.

And Red Green has facebook, and the lilacs are blooming, and Friday will be a new episode of Lactose Intolerant Girl and Fourteen Known Food Allergies Girl!!!  In this installment, Lactose Intolerant Girl joins colleague Fourteen Known Food Allergies Girl at swing dancing.  Hopefully, they will not have an encounter with the dreaded Bad Hat Dean.  Stay tuned.
