Okay, I was going to shoot for a full post on the weekend's escapades, but sometime today, my brain has decided to go into hibernation.  I think someone hit me with a frying pan last night.  I feel just a couple steps above comatose, so the full entry will have to wait until tomorrow (not that I did an exceptional amount of stuff this weekend), but I will at least tell you the story of me getting my elbows bitten.

It started off with my friend Susie's little baby girl Eleanor who came to book club to enjoy the poetry, and really just the attention of seven girls.  It was pretty fun.  When it was my turn to hold Ellie, I found that she's very well behaved and calm, but squirmy and fidgety, and would occasionally grab my collar, and brush my collarbone, which is surprisingly sensitive, so I tried not to let her tickle me much.  And since she's so tiny, she'd slide down in my hold, so at one point she was kind of tasting my arm around the elbow.  Super cute.  And only babies seem to be able to get away with that kind of stuff and still be considered cute.

Now hold that thought and cut to swing dancing on Friday night when I'm standing there telling Lee the story, with Eric slightly off to my right, and Bethany slightly off to my left.  As I mention the bit about elbow nibbling, BOTH of them grab one of my elbows and bite them at the same time.  And I'm standing there having a what-the-hell?! moment.  The fact that they both managed to find biting my elbows to be a good thing at the time boggles the mind.  Perhaps they engineered the act.

And of course my mom's reaction to this story is, "Who are these people you choose to acknowledge as friends?"

What can I say?  It makes for interesting material.  What did I do last week?  I got my elbows bitten by various people, of all shapes and sizes...wow, that sounds kinky.

And with that, I'm going to let my brain stop functioning completely.  Oof.

swing dancing, silliness, what?!, book club
