We had a good weekend- we found cheap bookcases at Target for $15 each (we eventually went back for a second one), and I figure if they're crap, well then at least we didn't blow $150 on them like others would cost. We also discovered Target has a decent selection of groceries for a price I think is better than GE. Who knew. We also got my inscribed ring back, did a little shopping, discovered Roomful Express is much too expensive for us, and had a date night at the drive in. We saw 'How to Train your Dragon'- such a good movie, I definitely recommend you go see it- and 'Clash of the Titans'- I was rather disappointed, I felt the storyline was waaaay way off, and while the effects were certainly better than the laughable stop action from the 1981 version, it couldn't make up for the terrible plot (Perseus and Io?? What?! Io was a love interest of Zeus in Greek mythology who got turned into a cow to hide from Hera... that's not quite right. Someone needs to go back and read their Edith Hamilton). But the food and company were good, so I was happy. :) I love having him around, it makes my weekends/evening/everything so much better. We finally got our wedding night hotel settled, so that's another thing to cross off the list.
However, I'm back into my downward grad school cycle. My experiments are now not working, even though they were before, and so I'm losing faith in my research and am not as motivated to do my comps writing when things are tanking. I'm having so many issues with this right now, and getting through the next month is going to be a challenge. :-\ I wish I was just a tech so then bad results wouldn't affect me so directly. I just don't feel smart enough to be here, nor do I have the drive everyone else seems to have. I'm in this wobbly limbo until the next good thing happens I guess.
