If its not one thing, its two or three others

Then you might run into a rash that was creating as much pain as a broken bone would. Of course with a rash its a bad idea to go ahead with the marrow operation, so the first "big thing" for today was canceled and a trip to my primary doctor subbed in. Three meds later and the rash was identified as shingles. Its early stages so I might deal with this for two weeks or it might be a couple of days. Anyway I can tell those who have never had the pleasure of having them, they hurt like hell, and its all over you skin, not just where they are visible. The slightest rub against anything can bring on the pain too. I expected pain in my back today, the marrow thing is like a root canal in your bone, but I traded up for this new version of pain.
While at the doctor I got on the scale, and good surprise I lost nine and a half pounds in the first twenty days of this month. That makes my year end goal seem possible now. The beginning of the month weight in had me only losing one pound, and I thought,at that time, that I would have to change my expectations. I am going for a lost of about fifty pounds in the first five months of this re-invention of my eating and exercise habits. Then a more healthy and deliberate loss of about two to three pounds a month over the next couple of years. All of it with an eye on the health angle more then weight loss.
Right now I am eight and a half pounds from that fifty pound goal with a month and ten days left to go.
The big thing will be to get past the whole cookie baking season.
Once again,we'll see.

pain, weight, cookies, bone marrow
