Anne de Montmorency, was named with a female first name for his godmother Anne. BUT BUT BUT. His mother and sister (!) were also Anne de Montmorency. So was his daughter. And his granddaughter. And various ancestresses and descendants, female AND MALE! Including a certain Anne-Léon de Montmorency, who called all his children Anne, girls and boys!
