So I had completed my vertical slice, prepared my presentation and presented yesterday afternoon...
And it TOTALLY bombed! They hated it. All in all, they called it a "big noise machine" and shooed me off the stage. Okay, I'm exaggerating but close enough. At first I was like, "Screw you cruel world, I don't care what you think of my art!" and I moped and kicked tin cans on the street bc I needed to prevent myself from kicking random ppl's ankles. Buuuut I got home and ate some sushi with my best friend and enjoyed the warm, beautiful sunny weather and now the next day, I realized, BAH I don't care. It's SUMMER!
And so I've been re-thinking my project. Since the faculty seemed a little more interested in my older idea and when I changed it completely, they hated it, I'm re-visiting the concept of my older idea but changing it's structure. I'm trying to see what I can come up with in a few days and if I'm lucky, I'll come in Monday and my prof. will give me the thumbs up to give it a go. I sort of want to go visit the chairman and get his opinion once my prof.'s okay-ed it bc he was the one that first called it a *cough* noise maker. DX I mean, I don't want to depend on what the faculty thinks but at the same time, if everyone hates it, then what's the point bc it's interactive and ppl are umm... sort of necessary. Grr. And well after I kicked cans and had sushi, I think I agreed with the harsh critics... it was just a big noise maker. Meh.
Anyway life moves on. The weather's great. No more homework. And this month will be spent hunting for internships and/or jobs as well as creating more work to brighten my portfolio site. Here's to hoping it all goes well and if not... well I still have sushi in walking distance woot!
