*sob* Season finale season continues.

The trailer for the season finale kept saying, "One of these people won't survive the night," and flashing pictures of Ryan, Marissa, Seth, Summer, Sandy, and Julie. I assumed, of course, that they couldn't kill off Ryan, Marissa, or Seth, and that only an idiot would kill off Julie, which meant it had to be Summer or Sandy.
I was totally wrong.
They killed Marissa.
I can hardly believe it.
It was, however, very, very nicely done. Ryan, Marissa, Seth, and Summer go to the now rebuilt and for sale model home (Ryan burned it down in season 1) to reminisce and spend time together before Ryan takes Marissa to the airport to go work on a yacht with her dad. Volchok's there outside, stalking Marissa. He follows them when they leave for the airport and runs them off the road. Their car flips over and down an embankment to rest on the street below.
Ryan pulls Marissa out of the car as it starts to burn and as he carries her down the street, they overlay it with every other time he's carried her in his arms to save her. The song that plays, then stops for her death, then plays again is a cover of "Hallelujah," which is the song she gave him the night of the model home.
