I am having so much trouble pinning how he talks to people and how he reacts to things and blah blah blah. Mostly because he just gets progressively more and more insane as the canon progresses, but.

Yeah.

imo he's actually gotten much easier to understand. Top things to remember for him are ( ... )

She's not a very frequently played character, and there are different ways to play her depending on what point in her life you're taking her from (whether she's still pregnant, or when she's on the run with the New Avengers). It'd be really interesting to see how other people feel about her characterization.

Anything you've got! I'm having trouble keeping a consistent voice/characterization, so I'd like to know how other people see him. As well, I'm new to playing characters from comics, so any tips on dealing with the gigantic universe and the whims of different writers and not wanting to keep up with every single storyline would be appreciated.

Anole is a pretty level-headed kid. If he weren't a mutant, he probably would have gone through high school as one of those mature kids who just never got into the party scene even if he kind of passively expressed an interest in it once in a while. He's got a sharp tongue and probably would have made some pretty sarcastic comments about the "popular kids" if they ever managed to sting him in any way. Otherwise he's a good kid who really looks out for his friends, and he's really into being himself. He's not going to hide who he is for anyone, but he's not aggressive about it ( ... )

I know the writers have been kinda all over the place, but any tips at all would be just wonderful. Most importantly his relationship with Ares and that whole god thing affects his interactions with the people around him.

yeah, I'm not even going to bother with anon, since I think I'm pretty specific here.

I am floundering with this kid so much. UM. I was going to say "imagine if you took him from around the Special," but he hasn't died and secret invasion hasn't happened. Obviously, since there's no registration act in this AU.

Yet.

ANYWAY, so I guess it's more like imagine when the trainees graduate from Camp Hammond (sans the whole tactigon and death thing) and instead of him sticking around, he went somewhere a lot more positive for his development than the Initiative was. So, even though he's kind of an angsty puppy still, he's not depressed like he was in canon?

Mostly I worry that he's not assertive or terse enough... if at all. There's a lot of niggly things bugging me, but mostly it's been his attitude towards other people that I have been worried I'm not getting right.

/RAMBLES FOREVER I'm sorry if none of that made any sense. But if it did CAN YOU HELP.

Dude's pretty emo but he's actually nice when he meets new people. He's not set on making people see how tortured and depressed he is because by the point he gets to being therapistsan he understands how to use his power to help people. As a teenager I'm sure he was all "yeaaaah my name's Trauma I'm hardcore" (because who comes up with that codename in the first place) but now not so much ( ... )

Okay, not even going anon for this one since I'm probably one of, what, three Nates running around on LJ?

Anyway, I need your help, anon/fellow Nateys. I currently have Nate from shortly after the whole Purple Man incident, and reading ahead, I want to start diverging from canon from after issue #55. He's currently in a game where he's free to use his powers under no restrictions, and has learned how to hop between worlds with limited success. [dramadramaduck, if you're curious]

I'm going to be doing random issues/events from canon up until that point, but after that, I really want to start moving him out of there. Also, any suggestions on how to handle the whole burnout thing since I won't be going through the "Queen Jean" arc?

Not gonna bother with anon because well... To certain folks it might be a little haha, obvious.

But yeah, anything you've got. I'm thinking of apping him and the idea is getting more and more intimidating with every passing second. Any tips or character traits you think are top priority would be appreciate. :)

Anything would be helpful, especially how he would react to someone flirting with him.
