I am the proud owner of a child of Smudley thanks to cheesepuppet. Smudley, Jr. (for lack of a better name) is a sourdough starter who has had his first meal and a day of bubbling happily and is now living in the fridge. Tomorrow I may attempt some sort of baked good from him. I don't know if I'm feeling ready for bread quite yet, but sourdough coffeecake sounds doable.
I will soon have enough Smudley, Jr. to share if anyone would like some.
