interesting times at the russian school

message that I sent to Bill:

8:06:10 PM rowrunner30: so i have had an interesting 24 hours, i am studying for a test now which is not so interesting, but i am taking a break
8:16:28 PM rowrunner30: so yesterday at 430 there was a "planned power outage" that was supposed to last from like 430- maybe 730 well the power didn't come back on until after midnight so it was completely dark and i could not do my homework which was driving me nuts so i decided to drink with the other people in my class--i only had like 2 glasses of wine but i woke up still drunk which has never happened to me before--i never wanted to be one of those people who went to class drunk, i kind of feel bad about it. so i was doing my homework this morning and i could barely read in russian and there is this verb in russian which means to be "sdat" and then there is a verb "spat" (pronounced spot) well there is only a one letter diff between the two of them. And i read it wrong when i was doing my homework and i got very confused, we were doing the instrumental case, which you usually use to say "with something" but you also use it for "to be" if it is a transient state, so i thought my homework was asking me who i wanted to sleep with, and the choices were pianist or professor, i was confused, and then i realized that i read the verb wrong, but i don't know i might have written the wrong thing. so it should be incredibly interesting when i get my homework back tomorrow......

From the other night:

9:13:01 PM rowrunner30: i think that my russian homework has turned me into a paranoid schizo
9:14:32 Bill: well, it was a long time coming
9:21:25 PM rowrunner30: yeah
