Ah how long it seems since I've written a post, but it certainly isn't because I haven't been up to anything exciting. Only last week I experienced my first general anaesthetic, which was really quite a jolly experience. Sadly the accompanying sticking needles into my hand and surgery were not quite so enjoyable and so, on balance, I think I shall probably not be repeating the experience again soon.
Other than this, my good friend Nicole has been going to great lengths to keep us all entertained. The other week saw us pretending to be modern-day Robin Hoods on a visit to Sherwood forest. Of course that would be Robin Hoods mounted on cycles rather than horses, carrying no form of weapon and generally eschewing robbery and subsequent distribution of monies. More recently I've been host to some impromptu Wii action, thereby reinforcing my desire to subsidise Nintendo buy the purchase of one of their systems.
I note from today's news that the youth of today are becoming involved in 'sext'ing1, a craze which looks set to pass me by completely. Given the issues I had with trying to get one of my girlfriends to scan in her breasts2,3,4, it seems terribly unfair that it should come so easily to my younger equivalents. Therefore should you feel a particular desire to send an erotic or suggestive picture message, feel free to send it in my direction. You'll probably need to give me some warning though, I've never set up my phone to receive picture messages and frankly I'm not about to go through the rigmarole until there's something worthwhile on the other side. Actually, one thing I did like was the comment that the transmission or possession of such photos of under 18s is of course illegal. I couldn't help feeling that if a teenager having nekkid pictures of you wasn't enough to worry you, then the fact it was illegal wasn't going to bother you particularly.

1 - As a side note I wonder whether this will get abbreviated to sxting. I also note that such a move could provide issues given the likelihood of typos on a mobile. The prospect of my mother asking me to 'send a sxt when [I] arrive' is not one I think I can bear.
