[Here, have a Yosuke. He's hanging out in the center, healing up the Pokémon he's been using in battles.]

[Except you'll notice that he's sitting in a chair, eyes closed and clutching the Riolu clinging to him. Is he sleeping? Quite possibly, considering he's hardly gotten any sleep in the last week and a half. It's not a heavy sleep, in any case, so waking him won't take very much at all.]

[He's only drooling a little, really.]

[oh hey yosuke. guess who is being a sneaky bear? this one is being a sneaky bear.

In fact, the moment he notices that Yosuke is asleep, he'll be sneaking over quietly. squeak... squeak... squeak... as he approaches, Teddie uncaps a permanent marker he had stored in the depths of his bear suit.

no one will stop his creativity. no one will stop...

[Here comes Merlin, carrying a thin blanket he'd asked one of the helpers for once he'd seen Yosuke dozing off in the Centre and--

...wait. He stops in his tracks as he sees Teddie leaning over Yosuke rather suspiciously]

...what're you doing?

[oh. turning to merlin, placing a finger over his mouth.] Shh! Do not disturb the artiste!

[yep he's crazy. after a small pause, teddie's humming in victory.]

[At the Ecruteak Pokécenter, a one Chie Satonaka is staring at her PC, scrolling back and forth. A little asking around revealed that this city's gym focuses on Ghost-types, so Ghost and Dark attacks are her best bets, right? But Bruce does have that move Foresight that lets him hit Ghost-types. And Rinty is too low-level to safely bring into this battle. Suzuka Gongen and Shadow are both good choices, but while she's exploiting Morty's weaknesses, he could be exploiting hers...]

Aargh, this is so complicated! [That little outburst probably catches the attention of anyone in the center. Chie never claimed to be a good strategist.]

What's up, Chie-senpai? [ she heard that just as she walks in, Flareon at her heels. ]

[After having his pokemon free to run around in Souji's breeding centre for so long, it feels odd having to leave some of them in storage. Stopping to speak with the Nurse about his current team's health, Merlin then sits in one of the chairs nearby, letting his eyes close.]

Ecruteak Gym next... [He says quietly to himself, brushing his hair away from his face. He inwardly reviews what he knows the Ghost type pokemon, wondering which pokemon he should take with him.]

[Chie doesn't take long to approach the young man, looking thoughtful. Bruce is standing behind her, and she has a few Pokéballs in her hands. Not enough for a full team of six, though.]

So you're gonna challenge the gym too, Merlin?

[Chie's voice draws his attention back to the present, and he opens his eyes as he smiles at her.]

Yeah. I meant to collect the badges a while back. [He pats the seat beside him in invitation.] Got a bit sidetracked when I began helping Souji at the Centre.

[Chie takes the invitation with a small smile, sitting down right next to him.]

Heh, I bet. Must be a lot of work keeping that place going. You have any of the other badges yet?

[he's fair unassuming, because really, what is there to see mid-day in front of a pokemon center? as it is now, he's actually gearing up for a potential match with Morty, feeling a tad whimsical and all in all considering which sort of a line-up to use. therefore, he's not particularly paying attention as he walks through the double doors.

there is a misdreavus stalking him from behind, her smile ramped up to a 7.5 on the scale of troll. she is holding, as it stands, a hair iron.

let's hope Fuji isn't too particularly attached to his hair.]

[ he might therefore also miss the quiet whisper of fetch, though the Flareon certainly isn't being innocuous as he comes circling over and, in one massive leap, goes for the hair iron.

What, it won't burn him. ]

[well, he certainly notices the blur of Flareon flashing by. a surprised blink as he turns back to see a misdreavus making soft screechy noises, trying to shake a flareon off of a hair iron. he blinks twice, the implications not quite settling in.

and then, a snort, as he crouches down next to the two pokemon and the hair iron, amused.]

Oh, my hero.

[ Pepper backs up a bit, shaking his head like a dog trying to win a game of Tug-of-War, and doesn't relinquish his grip when he glances up at Fuji. There goes his plume of a tail, wagging furiously. Hi, Fuji, hi hi hi-- ]
