Saturday
On saturday I went to Helsinki to meet Barrosa and when she sms'ed me when I was on the bus on way to the centre that she'll meet at 3pm instead of the 2pm we previously arranged, I decided to call Miia and ask what she's doing. Luckily she had going to Helsinki in her plans as well, so I met her at the railway station.
I gave her a big (400g) Cadbury's dairy milk chocolate bar and a few other things I bought from London. She started to eat the chocolate immediately as she always seems to crave chocolate. When I crave chocolate, I go on the scales and after that I usually just crave gym and lettuce.
We went to Ruohonjuuri from where I bought some vegan salami and organic spinach lasagne plates. Miia asked them for a job while I was looking for things to buy. She wants to move away from the commune she's currently living in and start living alone in a rental apartment, so her living expenses will rise.
Then we went to Kamppi to have a look at Blippo. Miia had something to do there, but she couldn't remember what, so we left the shop shortly after having a look at some kawaii japanese products. Lots of pink and Hello Kitty.
I was feeling a bit hungry as I hadn't eaten lunch yet, so we went to Sörnäinen by tube and to Vegemesta, where I had a vegan rye-burger with some fruit drink called Feelgood. Miia was just drinking water as she had already eaten lunch and wasn't feeling hungry.
We took the tube to Hakaniemi and Miia showed me a vegetarian restaurant called Silvoplee which is owned by Finnish actress Satu Silvo. We might have a Valentine's day dinner there. Then we went to UFF because Miia wanted to find some tyrolean skirts there.
The time was already almost 3pm, so we decided to go back to the centre. We visited Kiasma shop where Miia was looking for diaries and used the free toilets of Kiasma. Then we parted our ways in front of Sokos: Miia left home and I went to Sokos to buy some make-up powder and lipbalm before Barrosa arrived. It took a quite a while for her to arrive, so I went to the McDonalds in Sokos to have a cup of tea.
We visited many clothing and shoe shops in Forum. Barrosa had a look at a few coats and boots and I tried to find a nice smart shirt to wear in the job interview I have on tuesday. I tried on a white shirt in Vero Moda, but it didn't suit me and the ones I saw in GinaTricot were on 50% discount but of course available only in very small or very large sizes. Size 36 really doesn't fit me in those buttoned shirts, the upper buttons just don't stay buttoned.
I bought a dark blue/purple cardigan from GinaTricot and Barrosa found a black shirt for herself. Then we went to Fiorella from where I bought comfortable purple velour pants for wearing at home. After that I left home by bus and Barrosa went to S-market to do her grocery shopping.
In the evening I had a nice sauna and somehow I spent most of the night on the phone & on MSN with Jamie.
