I've been doing NaNoWriMo since 2004. It can feel solitary and sometimes like it's punishment, but, in the end, it usually feels worth it. Here's a little bit of a peptalk that I wrote because I've had friends ask me almost identical questions.http

I have won another NaNoWriMo. 50, 176 words and 29 days later, I made it through November with quite a bit of story. I've gotten to one of the pivotal scenes in it and can now work towards the end. I'm working with a different incarnation of that character that I didn't want to kill, basically exploring the destruction of the whole universe that hinges on him dying and what happens there if he manages to survive.
