I've finally completed all of the Sunday Scribblings prompts so far. That makes more than 200 pieces of writing that I have accomplished.
I had a vacation that mostly involved going to my parents' house and helping out with a wedding and a few other things. The van service that I usually use actually neglected to pick me up for the beginning of the trip, I had to find a way to catch up to them myself. Most of the rest of the trip was uneventful, except there was a flat tire on the way back home. At this point, I am sleep-deprived and ready to crash pretty soon. I love my family, but I was very, vey busy while I was gone and I can't help but feel that I need a vacation from my vacation now.
One thing that I did get to do was have a little bit of a road trip in Eastern Wyoming. The sight of all of that open road and the absence of traffic made me start to feel a familiar itchy impatience. I wanted to get out there on a motorcycle and just ride. No goal, no specific destination, nothing more than just a good, long ride. Of course, one needs a motorcycle license for such a ride, either that or someone willing to drive who has one. It's definitely an idea to keep in mind for the day that it's possible, though.
Horatio is having electrical issues now. I tried to start him today and his battery is dead again, which has me pretty concerned. It's frustrating that things keep going wrong with him. Ah, for the day when I win the lottery and can just take him to my mechanic and have him made like new. (Yeah, I realize that I could have any car I wanted at that point, my point is that I want HORATIO).
I'm currently working on a new story that I'm a bit worried about. It's different from what I usually write and while I'm burning to write it, at the same time, it leaves me confused and a little scared. I actually feel a bit of trepidation putting it to paper, but i'm still doing it anyway.
