Adventures.
After much work, I flew to Pittsburgh Wednesday night. I got to Sherbrook at about tenish on Thursday morning. Chrisamaphone let me in, and I talked for a while with her, William, Akiva and maybe lea. Then I slept for a few hours. When I awoke, I walked to campus and hung out with Carolyn, Conner and Alan Caum for a bit. Then Akiva and I went to Fuddle for dinner. Afterwards, we watched Reservoir Dogs at Sherbrook, and then I slept forever.
Friday, Chris and I went to Uncle Sam's for $MEAL, and then went to Dan Licata's thesis proposal, which was pretty cool. Afterwards, William, jcreed and I met up with Akiva and Lea at Spice Island for delicious foods. Then we went to Shmikea, the art show at the Frame, and then to Doherty to play CtF. I played a little CtF, but mostly hung around in the foundry(!) with Lea and talked and made things out of wax. Eventually I ran into Ed and Annie. For the last game, the Old People decided not to play, and instead we played tag and wandered around, watching the game. (ETA: Oh, yeah, then we went to Fuddle.) Eventually, I returned to Sherbrook and slept.
Saturday, I awoke extra super late and caught up with Ed, Annie and Akiva at the Carnegie for looking at crazy art, shiny rocks and dinosaurs. Then we went to Spice Island (again). Then Ed and Annie went off to sleep some, and Akiva and I wandered Wean and CFA. Then we met Lea at the CoDe lab, whence we went to Union Grill for Delicious Pie.
Afterwards was the Seven Party. It was kind of weird, as I only knew about a quarter of the people there, but it was good. Then Ed, Annie, Akiva and I went to Eat'n Park for "food". Then sleep.
Sunday morning, Akiva left, and I got up to go to amazingly delicious brunch with Lea, gwillen, Chris, William and Annie (Ed being at Kung Fu). Afterwards, Annie disappeared forever, and Lea and gwillen went fabric shopping with Goob. Chris, William and I went climbing with Evan. We then returned to Sherbrook, where we met up with Lea and lost Evan, and dressed slightly nicer and went to dinner and a play. Dinner was delicious and poncy, and included venison and pumpkin creme brulee. Dinner discussion involved interface design and complexity/complication/simplicity/simplisticness distinctions. The play involved string music, dramatic short story readings and underwhelmingness. Afterwards, we returned to Sherbrook, whereat I spoke at lenghth with Lea about Lea things (i.e., advertising design, mocking 70s decor, lingerie). Then brief sleep.
Monday, disturbingly early, I planed back to Seattle. Monday night I went climbing again with Alice, Tom and Christ*, who is a girl Tom met in the wild swamps. Or something.
Yesterday, I worked productively all day at home, except for a few very pleasant hours talking to Jess.
Today, I am working more.
