I feel like I stick my foot in my mouth far more often than I should for someone my age, both offline and on.
I never mean to say something that could be taken in the wrong way, but it happens to me. A lot.
*sigh*
Anyway, I listened to an older episode of
Writing Excuses today at work, one about beginnings. And it totally inspired me to write a new opening chapter - which I never considered before seriously. (If I did, I had no idea what to replace the current chapter with so I kept it as is until now.)
Well, not that I really replaced it.... more like, I added to it. I hope it's not so mushy now. We'll see after I let it sit for a day and come back to it with a fresh eye.
6694 / 95335 words. 7% done!
(Honestly, not sure what use this meter thing is going to be if I keep adding words. Oh well.)
I'm also thinking of getting a stripped down, bare bones netbook. My laptop is too big to carry around comfortably, and I'm always distracted by the internet. ALWAYS. I've been wondering if a netbook - smaller, easier to carry around - would make getting out of my apartment to write easier. We'll see. I haven't even looked at any stores yet to see about prices.
