Title: Ascertain
Characters: Judy Witwicky
Series: Bayverse
Rating: K+
Summary: The Autobots left insecapable evidence of their presence - if only those finding it knew the cause
Prompt:#6 April 21st 2014 Photo.../Image

Judy Witwicky saw the ominous clouds grow and thicken, bringing dangerous, unpredictable flashes of lightening.

She sighed, turned to blissfully unaware Ron.  “Honey, there’s a storm coming.”

Ron turned, looked at the sky.  “You interrupted me so I could view a sunset?”   He went back to repairing the broken sprinkler system, wondering at the mess of huge depressions in his lawn - Dinosaurs were extinct, weren’t they?

Judy shook her head.  Gathered up her gardening supplies.  It would be impossible to replace her wrecked rose garden once the torrential rain arrived.  She’d figure the damage to her precious flowerbeds once everything had a chance to soak up the run-off.

Title: interpretation
Characters: Laserbeak
Series: Generation 1
Rating: K+
Summary:  Spying on enemy activities is an acceptable way of interacting between factions.
Prompt: #6 April 15th 2014 Choose a word not found in the English Language Backpfeifengesicht (German)

From her lofty position in the overhead ductwork, Laserbeak kept an optic on the ground-bound frontline twins that challenged the Seekers air Superiority every time the two groups met in a free-for-all-battle.

During Laserbeak's first trip through the rarely used vents, she learned that several Autobots were rumored to brawl at the drop of a hat.  At the time, the objective had not allowed any of Soundwave’s cassettes to purse this interesting tidbit.

Now, the Decepticion cassettes did have permission to explore the enemy base, and if possible, were to discover which rumors were true - and which were deliberately leaked misinformation.

Laserbeak chose to follow the twins.  Her observations had led here to realize that the red melee opponent was a prankster - and if he ever teamed up with Frenzy or Skywarp, Megatron should give Prime a surrender notice.
For all her joors of observation, all Laserbeak had been able to determine about the yellow twin was he drink high-grade exclusively.

It was almost time to report back to Soundwave - yet the Spy camera hesitated and waited longer, hoping to see the start of a notorious Autobot-only oil-house brawl.  (There was no footage, ever, of one of Prime’s soldiers beginning the brawl, only of them ending the fight).

Her delay bore fruit.

Laserbeak glanced to the door far bellow when it opened.  No one was visible - she couldn’t figure out if someone had left, entered, or if the sensors malfunctioned. Still, the yellow mech - a former gladiator if other rumors were to be trusted - seemed to be the only Autobot aware of the visual discrepancy.  Every other mech had overindulged in high-grade and were not conscious or any abnormalities - not able to track the comings and goings of companions.

Watching with interest, Laserbeak saw the twin’s faceplates collapse inwards, as if an invisible fist had forcefully punched him.  The yellow warrior fell down, stunned.

“Mirage!”  The black-and-white Praxian - the only mech not partaking of the high-grade festivities - stood up.  “What’s the meaning of this?”

A previously empty section of floor approved to be holding an invisible mech.  He looked smug.  “Sunstreaker’s face was in desperate need of a fist.  I provided it.”

It wasn’t the live footage of a brawl, Laserbeak desperately wanted, but it was a confirmation Autobots were equally happy fighting themselves as much as they fought their traditional enemies, the Decepticions.  Laserbeak began to extract herself and hurried back to Soundwave.  He would be most interested in the findings.

TITLE: War memories
RATING: K+
UNIVERSE: Generation 1
CHARACTERS: Sparkplug
SUMMARY:  Some memories are too hard to share without huge amounts of liquid courage
Bunny: Telling War Stories

Sparkplug Witwicky listened to Kup talk about the time he’d snuck behind enemy lines to retrieve a fallen friend.  The old mech used English, making it easier to understand the words.  Following along was a bit harder.

Sparkplug chugged the remaining warm drink of his first bottle of beer.  Maybe it wasn’t the unfamiliar names of people, places, and things that were flying over his head, but the liquor clouding his brain.  Maybe.

Standing up, Sparkplug saw the world spin.  He flopped back down into his comfortable seat.  When Kup paused for breath - or gather his thoughts, the effect was similar - Sparkplug interrupted.  “Did I ever mention my tour of Vietnam?”

Kup fell silent.

Optimus Prime turned his head slightly.  “No.  I do not believe you have talked much about your past.”  He spoke without rancor, without demanding to know more.  “Would you like to talk about it?  We would love to hear about your military posting in Vietnam.”

Sparkplug surprised himself - he chuckled hoarsely.  “The army needed soldiers.  They drafted thousands of young me.  I was one of them.”  He closed his eyes.  “Hated boot camp.  Survived the experience.  Got shipped to Vietnam.  Decided upon arriving in the jungle, that boot Camp was infinitely better than fighting overseas.  I survived Vietnam, came back home physically intact.

“Hundreds of others were wounded and sent back - hundreds more died in the foreign land, fighting for a cause few of us believed in.”  Sparkplug opened his eyes, looked around for a second beer.  “I need a strong drink if I’m going to continue talking about my experiences.”

Bunny: Bluestreak’s personality is distorted

Usually mechs heard Bluestreak long before they saw him.
Bluestreak’s nonstop blathering had become a way for others to k now all was right in the world.

So, when Bluestreak walked into the crowded rec-room, retrieved his morning ration, and left - all without saying a word - they instinctively knew something was wrong.

“Sunny”  Sideswipe got up to chase after the grey Praxian.  “Was that Prowl?”

“Wrong paint job.”  Sunstreaker responded, not adding the always-ignored reprimand of ‘don’t call me Sunny’.  “Besides, Prowl refuels from the officer’s energon dispenser.”

“Could it be Smokescreen, then?”

“Hey!” Smokescreen waved a hand.  “I’m right here.”

“Mirage, Hound,” Sideswipe turned to other, nearby mechs for assistance.   He’d reached the hallway, and there was no sign of the young Praxian.  “Any ideas where Blue might have gone?”

In short order, Prowl, Ratchet, Jazz, and everyone else not present at Bluestreak’s bizarre appearance, had been notified and warned.

Red Alert, predictably, voiced the worst-case scenario.  “He’s been hacked!  Programming rewritten.”

Prowl and Smokescreen, ignored the dire predictions and uneasy speculations.

“What’s the date?”  Prowl asked, handing Smokescreen one cube.

His question got blank faces.  Prowl tried again.  “The humans have a day of remembrance on December 7th.  What day is today?”

Then the crowd got it.  This day, countless years ago, Praxis fell.
