The beginning of the end for New Labour.

One of the good things about Britain is that we should not have police shouting "Ausweiss schnell" at us. That is why my grandfather was in the trenches and my cousin at El Alamein. Johnson is trying to wriggle out of his blunder with Identity cards (which can be forged) and states that those applying for passports will have to be on the ominous database. (Is that the easily hackable one?) For those of us who wish to travel further than Southend and dine on more than jellied eels this poses a problem (not for me, I have dual citizenship). But for the rest, yes, a bit of a bind. It may not be the last rites for identity cards but its ramifications could be a nail in the coffin (or more appropriately a stake in the heart) of the mendcious Labour regime. Well, this is all for now. I shall go to aerobics soon. Tomorrow there is a demonstration against Islamophobia and the rise in racism in Northern Ireland. If I am not beaten to death by the police (as Mr Tomlinson was) I shall attempt to get back to you. There is no truth in the rumour that a friendly European nation are to offer me political exile. (Stage hiss Oh yes there is). New Scotland Yard delenda est.
