You'd think that people would know by now that I'm not pleasant when I'm angry. Arg! Here's the situation: My ex-roommate, Xian, with whom I have an agreement about the rent, decided not to pay it this month, so he's being evicted from our old apartment. You see, I loaned him $800 this past March so he could buy a guitar (he's in a band, blah blah blah). Well, when I moved out of the apartment in June (in order to "live in sin" with my fiance), I explained to him that he would need to start paying me back, which he has sort of started to do. As of today, he's paid me exactly $333 of said debt. In order to pay me back, he was supposed to simply take over my 1/3 of the rent from the old apartment ($233/month) for three months (Sept.-Nov.) He paid $100/sept., $233/Oct., and none/Nov. Now, I'm facing having an eviction on my credit history because of his irresponsibility! So, I took matters into my own hands. I went by the apartment tonight and picked up some of the things I left there (although I left most of it because the state of that place was completely inhabitable-- which means Cleaning fees!:( ) I took my old shower curtain (because its spongebob and it was a gift), some of my dishes/pots and pans (which I left to be nice to my old roommates because they had next to nothing in that department), the adapter thingy that allows one to plug in several different things that require AV cables into one TV, and the guitar (which I paid for and belongs to me). So, this morning at 2:30 in the morning, he calls me and tells me that I'm completely in the wrong!
I left him like thirty messages trying to figure out a plan of action, several texts asking him to call, called his mom and dad's house, any mutual friend we had in order to get ahold of him, but nothing before tonight! So, I called him back to let him know that if he wants to work this stuff out, then he has until Monday or I'm selling the damn thing, paying our landlord the money to get the eviction notice off my credit report and calling the rest of the money (if there's any left!) a loss. Some peoples' irresponsibility is completely mind-boggling!
I wish I had never met this person, never been his friend, never helped him out of countless bad situations, never anything having to do with him! But! What goes around definitely comes around, and he's going to get his.
