And now a word from the president...
So working on class stuff for today up until about 7:55 actually helped! Nikki Schmidt came to observe my class today, and she was impressed (I think). She left smiling... That's good, yes? I think it went well, anyway. Only awkward part: a student that has violated my attendance policy to the point of being dropped actually showed up for class today (of course he was 15 minutes late). I had to take him outside and give him the old "I've got to drop you speech." (I'd already sent him an e-mail to that affect, but had he bothered to check it?!) I officially dropped him about twenty minutes ago. It was hard. I want all of my students to succeed... Blah blah blah.
Good slow weekend. Friday: Hung out with The Lance.
Saturday: Hung out at home, watched the Cardinal's game with Sarah/Terri/Mike.
Sunday: Slept off the hangover, did some work/cleaning. Mike made fabulous onion soup for dinner.
Not much else to report. I'm looking forward to finishing up grading papers tonight.
