Artists Overview
This is a Big Bang challenge where authors will write a story which will later be posted anonymously as summaries for artists to claim.
Authors are required to write at least 10,000 words for their story.
Artists are expected to create at least one piece of art (600px x 600px minimum) or one video (at least 1 minute) to complement a story.
Both authors and artists are expected to leave their
roguesbang stories, artworks and videos accessible to public for at least 6 months. If you wish to lock or remove your works later, I strongly recommended archiving your works externally on sites such as AO3 or imgur.

So, what is this challenge about?
This is a Big Bang challenge focusing on all nemesis of the Flash.
Who is the Flash?
The Flash is a superhero part of the DC Comics Universe. Several people had taken on the mantle over the years. In the current ongoing series, the Flash is
Barry Allen.
Not just confined to Captain Cold's Rogues, then?
Not at all! We also cover enemies such as the Reverse-Flash, Gorilla Grodd, the Fiddler, Peek-a-Boo and many others! If you're not sure which villains could be considered a Flash villain,
check out this list.
How about the new 52?
We accept all entries set during pre-reboot, post-reboot, animated universe, retconned verses... everything!
Even the CW tv verse?
Absolutely!
Do you consider the Renegades as part of the Rogues for Rogues Big Bang?
Yes.
Who can sign up?
Anyone can!
Can I sign up for more than one role? (Author, Artist and/or Beta)
Absolutely! Keep in mind that it is up to you to manage your time properly to juggle multiple roles. Be very sure you're able to handle all your responsibilities before signing up for them.
Does signing up commit me to finishing?
No, it doesn't. For authors, you can drop out any time during check-ins before your drafts are due. However, once your story has been claimed by artist, you are expected to hold out until the day of your posting. For artists, you do not commit to anything until you've claimed your story.
What is a beta?
Betas are the editor, helping hand, and critical eye. They are the ones to look through your works in their earliest to latest stages to spot out mistakes, express their opinions and aid with brainstorming.
What is a pinch hitter?
A pinch hitter is someone who steps in last minute to produce and create art or fic in the case of writers and artists dropping out.
What does a "check-in" entail?
Check-ins are basically a "hello, how are you?" to let us know how you're progressing with the challenge and whether or not you're dropping out at that point.
Do I need a Livejournal account to join?
No, you don’t! So long as you have at least either one Livejournal, Tumblr, Dreamwidth, or AO3 account, you can join the challenge. However, it is important that you have a working and active e-mail so we can contact you later on.

What is the word minimum?
10,000 words. There is no maximum, just make sure you are able to finish the story you set out to write.
What are we expected to submit as a rough draft?
Your draft can be full of mistakes and errors so long as the story is complete (having a beginning, middle and end) and fulfill the minimum 10,000 words requirement. Scenes and details that have yet to be written can be annotated in the drafts (this is mostly for the benefit of the artists so they'll know what to expect out of your story). If you're within range or close to 10k words, we promise not to stick you into a mirror dimension filled with rampaging gorillas. You can continue adding and editing however much you want after the draft submission.
Does my fic have to include ALL of the rogues?
No, that's not necessary. I'd say that's a difficult feat, so a huge kudos to you if you actually manage that! You can include just one or many rogues in your story so long as the main focus is on a Flash villain.
Can I write about romance?
Yes, absolutely. You can write anything you wish, whether it is gen, m/m, m/f, f/f, moresome, action, AU, and etc. so long as the main focus is on at least one Flash villain.
Can I write a crossover?
Yes, of course.
Can I co-write a fic?
Absolutely! Both authors are required to sign up and signify that you're co-writing and with who.
Can I write more than one fic?
Yes, you may. If you are submitting more than one story, please, PLEASE make sure you are able to manage your time and the workload reasonably. The requirements for your stories will remain the same as if they are individual entries respectively.
Can I use a WIP I've already started?
WIPs are okay so long as they are not publicly available prior to you signing up. If they are, please take them down.
Can I write a spin-off of one of my existing stories/AUs?
Yes. Sequels and spin offs of an existing verses are allowed so long as the story can stand on its own.
Do I need to have my story beta-read?
We do not enforce this rule strictly, but it is very strongly recommended that you do. If you have trouble finding a beta reader, send us a message or e-mail and we'll help you out.

What kind of art can we do?
Art can be of any type: Original illustrations (traditional, digital or mixed), 3D, cover art, graphics, photo-manipulations, crafts or videos. Fan mixes (soundtracks) and podfics are not considered as part of the artists' requirements, but they can be included as additional content.
What are the specifics/requirements?
At least one piece of artwork with a minimum of 600x600px in size. Videos must be at least 1 minute in length.
Can I use old art?
No. All art created must be new and created prior to your assignment.
Can I use existing images, fanart or comic panels in my art/video?
Using existing fanart is a big no-no, unless you made them yourself. For published comics, if you use any panels in your works, they MUST be credited where credit is due.
Can I use screenshots and clips from official animated works, games and such then?
Yes, you can.
Can I use copyrighted music in my video?
Yes, you can. However, the original artists MUST be acknowledged and credited. It is preferable to use Public Domain or Creative Commons music if possible.
What else do we need to do?
Optimally, at least one banner should also be created for a story. You can use the art you've done to produce the banner(s). If you have troubles or any questions regarding banner making, contact
kidezt or send an e-mail to "roguesbang@gmail.com".
