Improving

► I'm definitely feeling a lot better this weekend, as most of the flu or whatever it was that I have has worked itself out of my system. That said, I still have sinus congestion and I occasionally get overcome with fatigue and need to lay down. The point remains, however, that I am better.

The mini heat snap we're going through yesterday and today isn't helping, though. Bleah. At least the summer is almost over.

► This morning I had a very cute moment with Stormy, my cat. He came into my room and was mewing for attention so I went out into the front room following him. He laid down on his stomach on the floor, and on a whim I crouched down low to the ground in front of him and put my face up to his as he sometimes does to me. He raised his right arm and patted the top of my head twice.

Not at all surprisingly, after a moment's beat he swatted me above my right eye with his left paw. Cats.

► After worrying for the past few weeks, I finally received my Apache Chief "collect-&-connect" action figure in the mail on Friday. Just the day before I received my loose Parasite action figure (Superman villain). This means I now have 3 of the 4 loose figures that I bought from 4 different sellers in China. So far they've all been in very good condition, and I haven't noticed any obvious defects in any of them. This just leaves Lex Luthor as the lone figure I'm still awaiting.

TPM: Texas Judge Warns Of ‘Civil War, Maybe’ If Obama Wins - Texas scares me, especially if they have nuts like this guy as judges. He's worried about civil unrest so he's planning to initiate civil unrest himself? I'm not sure how that logic works.

Kikkerland: Luchador Bottle Openers - These are great! I'd get one if I ever actually needed a bottle opener. Which I don't.

9gag: For those who need to carry the groceries in one trip - Okay, this is a genius invention and I want two. Now.

9gag: Good Guy Freddie Mercury - Freddie Mercury was, is and always will be awesome.

Tumblr: I see your value now: Neil Armstrong - People are stupid. So, so very stupid.

io9: 9 Wonder Woman Villains (That Explain Why Nobody Talks About Wonder Woman’s Villains) - It's impossible for me to hate Egg Fu. Just look at him.

I need more goofy and bizarre villains for Utopia...

Super Podcasto Magnifico: Geoff Johns and David Finch’s New “Justice League of America” - A black Muslim, a Latino, and an Asian woman on one team? Shocking. I guess this is going to be a more violent and deadly team compared to the main Justice League title, since this group has 4 members who carry lethal weapons (and a Green Lantern who's most often been depicted wielding a handgun). Seems more like a wetworks team.

A friend told me that there are rumours that Jim Lee will be drawing a relaunched Wildcats comic in 2013. Since they re-introduced WILDcats villain Helspont as a big baddie for Superman earlier this year, I'm kind of hoping that he'll be the leader of the team. If Batman can be on multiple teams, why can't a guy who actually can be anywhere on the globe in seconds? After all, they've been making a point of adding and blending DC characters into the old Wildstorm properties already with the New 52 relaunch. And I'd definitely buy Superman And The Wildcats if it was a comic.

Our Valued Customers: Regarding POWERGIRL's new costume... - That's the most apt comment I've seen yet about the costume.
