Yes, More Superman
► In what is probably another of my long list of ill-planned decisions, I finalized a deal with my friend John where he's commissioning prearranged convention sketches for me and himself from legendary comic book artist George Pérez. John is getting a higher end full figure sketch whereas mine will be a simple headshot which is the most I can really afford. My sketch is going to be Superman, because in addition to my sickening love of the character, I loved Perez's brief late 80s/early 90s work doing covers and interiors for Action Comics.
I'm really excited about this, although it means I'm going to be paying John back piecemeal over the next couple of months (he'll be collecting the sketches from George at a convention in September). I'll have to check to make sure I also don't owe him my first born.

► EW: 'Breaking Bad' taps Scottish actress Laura Fraser to play 'important' character in season 5 -- EXCLUSIVE - I don't have the slightest bit of interest in the show Breaking Bad, but I wanted to briefly mention Laura Fraser. Back about 12 or 13 years ago I happened to catch the British movie Virtual Sexuality on cable, and fell in love with Fraser. For awhile there I had a sizable crush on her and a picture of her looking sexy and demure in a pink T-shirt from the movie was taped up over my drawing table for a couple of years. The picture was from an issue of a British magazine called Total Film, which I used to buy at my local convenience store (the magazine was imported and cost more than $10 an issue so it was expensive).
Ah, memories. I haven't thought about Laura Fraser in a very long time, mostly because I haven't seen anything with her since 2001.
