The Return of The Nefarious Count Vertigo

Mar 28, 2012 23:30

► Well so much for that. After 3 days with no dizziness I was hit with a bad spell Monday evening. My vertigo appears to be back. Most of the time it's just a mild unsteadiness, but I have been having moments of disorienting dizziness. Thankfully it's still mostly mild. Hopefully the 3 days without means that it is working it's way out of my system, and this isn't just the start of a new month long period of unbalance.

Along with the return of Count Vertigo, yesterday was doubly annoying as I ended up with "intestinal distress" through the evening and night. Dean wanted to order Chinese food and I was all for that. Unfortunately I think the chicken soo guy must have been too greasy because it did not sit well with me at all. Ugh.

Thankfully my stomach is much, much better today. Although dealing with the vertigo and stomach issues have my nerves on edge, especially in lieu of my intention to do my monthly shopping on Saturday. Since it would be my first outing in almost two months (not counting my hospital visit a week and a half ago) it's really working my resolve. As such, I'm chickening out and Deana's going to pick up my stuff for me again.

Maybe that's the cause of this new resumed bout of vertigo?

► Last night I got a couple of notices from Ebay saying that Rantz had marked my Superman and Utopia commission drawings as shipped. I sent him a message and he said he had forgotten to scan the drawings before he mailed them, so I'm going to have to wait until I actually get them before I can see them. He apologized, but I said it was fine and understandable. Stuff from the US usually takes two weeks now, so since they were mailed on Monday I likely won't get the drawings until a few days after Easter.

► Just for the hell of it, here are my 3 favourite currently active porn stars: Tori Black, Bobbi Starr, and Gianna Michaels.

Doomed Remakes: RoboCop No Longer Robotic, Mutant Ninja Turtles No Longer Mutants - If you want to completely reinvent a property so that it no longer resembles the property, why not just make a brand new property? Oh right, I forgot, "name recognition."

Still, I fail to see the logic in making a RoboCop movie that's about a human cop? Sounds like the director really should just make a regular cop movie and leave RoboCop alone.

HORROR VACUI: MakeUp Arts (MUA), Photography, Retouching
- Villains from 1980s movies as if they were still alive and aging today. We've all seen similar photo sets of other pop culture characters, but I think these are well done. Darth Vader doesn't seem all that different from me now.

9gag: I heard u like fairy tales... - Uh, not this one.

9gag: And that's how we get Oil and Natural GAS.. - Seems right to me.

9gag: Did someone say steampunk? - Maybe someone did, but I don't think this is an example of steampunk. The stuff looks pretty cool for the most part, but really this is just re-purposed junk. Very cool and creative in itself, but that's not steampunk.

Cracked: Sex as Understood by Adolescent Boys by Rachel Bloom, Jack Dolgen - I thought this was really funny, and oddly catchy.

Edit: The Cracked embedding isn't working, hence the Youtube video.
