► Dad and Darren brought by
the burgundy Queen Anne recliner chair tonight. As predicted, Dean had a mini bitch session when she got home from grocery shopping and saw it (she quickly dropped the attitude and turned wry). Turns out she forgot about picking up my bread and bologna, but assures me she'll pick them up for me this weekend.
I hope so! I eat bread with my daily meals, and I'm not going out until next Friday.

The Superman drawing I won on Ebay a few weeks ago was waiting outside my apartment door on the landing at 7:55am! The drawing is so much sharper and crisper than in the scan. Unfortunately it's also 8.5" x 12.5" and so won't fit in any of the comic book or magazine bags I have, so I'm not sure how I'll be able to display it. Guess I'll just have to use an 11" x 14" frame and make a matte.
The one thing I'm most curious about is why the last few drawings I've won from
ComiConArt on Ebay have taken 3 weeks between payment and delivery, while in the months between May and early October they averaged less than 2 weeks. Maybe they're waiting longer to actually ship them.
► While I got
my delayed Barbara Broadcast DVD yesterday, and my
Superman drawing this morning, I was a bit disappointed that my
Corner Gas Season 5 and
Season 6 DVD sets weren't in the mail today. I won and paid for the sets on Sunday and they were shipped out of Barrie, Ontario on Monday with a delivery estimate for today. The disappointment isn't exactly a measure of my being impatient (I can wait) but rather a measure of concern as the Canada Post tracker still says the DVDs are sitting in the receiving plant outside of Barrie. It's only a 6 hour drive from Barrie to my city.
I'll just assume that the online tracker is out of date and that I'll have the DVDs by Monday. And if not? I'll just assume I'll have them by Tuesday, and so on.

Natalie Wood Case: Yacht Captain Blames Robert Wagner, but L.A. Sheriff Says Actor Not a Suspect - I find it irksome that commentators are suddenly quick to call
Robert Wagner a murderer despite the police still categorizing the case as an accident and Wagner as not being a suspect. The captain is claiming that he himself has lied for 30 years, and suddenly changes his story and accused Wagner 2 weeks before the 30th anniversary of
Natalie Wood's death? I wouldn't be holding him up as a reliable witness. The whole thing seems suspicious to me.
How is it so difficult to believe that Wood's death was likely an accident when she had been drinking and taking downers before walking topside on the boat in the middle of the night?
