► Feeling mildly depressed today. I was going to start washing my bedding and comforters (it'll take three or four loads) but I just couldn't be bothered today. I just feel spent and worn down and don't really want to deal with anything right now.
This of course is the perfect time for me to play soundboard and reassuring voice to Dean and her dramas. Ugh.
► So much for the
DC Universe Online MuhMORPuhGah. After more than a week the character creator still wasn't loading properly, making the 14 GB download completely useless. As such, I uninstalled the program. Maybe I'll try reinstalling it next month, when they hopefully have the
Free-To-Play bugs removed.
► Last Wednesday my friend KimF alerted me to a new improved version of Heromachine,
Heromachine 3. It's a flash (I think) program that allows you to create your own superheroes and characters. The previous versions were incredibly and frustratingly limited, but this new version allows you to edit, move and combine different pieces. It's loads more fun, although when I sent the link to my friend Matt he found it frustrating. I guess your mileage may vary.
Instead of creating a new character, I had fun making
Superman and my
naturist superheroine
Utopia in the program (although Superman's S-shield took a long time and was a headache to make). I later combined the saved figures in Photoshop, and edited and tweaked some minor errors. I think they both look pretty good, although I do acknowledge that Utopia's pubic hair is rather outrageous. You work with what you have.

Family Guy's 9/11 Satire: Did It Go Too Far? - I actually watched
this episode. From chat:Derek: I actually thought it didn't go that far
Derek: although I was surprised by the
Pat Tillman joke
Matt: I didn't think it was near too far
Matt: it wasn't even about
9/11, they just needed a recent world major event
Derek: it was surprisingly tame for
Family GuyDerek: right
Matt: in another time it could have easily been about stopping
Reagan being shot or stopping

Why Robert Pattinson hates Twilight - You never hear those
Harry Potter kids badmouth their movies and books.
Edward Cullen is more than just a glittery vampire, he's also a passive aggressive emotionally abusive stalker.

Turk: it actually looks cool
Derek: it does
Derek: looks much better than it deserves to be

Harry Potter Director David Yates to Helm Doctor Who Movie - So they're going to make a movie with no connection to the canon and continuity of the television series, and it'll be a completely separate
Doctor? Um, why then should any of the growing
Doctor Who fans care? It's going to be a Hollywoodized joke and "Doctor Who" in name only, right?

Frank Miller blasts Occupy protesters as ‘pond scum’ and ‘rapists’ - What was
I saying yesterday about raving overwrought hyperbolic lunatics?
Frank Miller seriously needs to get over himself and/or sober up. Idiot.
Also, thank you
