► Disney To Revive Obscure Marvel Superheroes - Not to split hairs or anything, but aren't most Marvel superheroes, hell most superheroes, obscure to the general public? Prior to 2000, how many people knew what "X-Men" meant? And I'm pretty most of the public had never heard of Iron Man beyond the Black Sabbath song before the movie came out. I think prior to the Marvel movie domination this past decade, the only generally known characters were Spider-Man (due to the 60s cartoon) and the Hulk (the 70s television series). You hear the name Captain America a lot but usually in a generic sense (usually in sports). I doubt most people who use the name are aware there's an actual comic book character called that.
