Survived That

► I'm going to be broke and December is still an hour or so away. Got my money today and had to give my sister my share of the rent and bills, then pay for her birthday and Christmas gifts, and reimburse her for the items she picked up for me for my Secret Santa family member. Then I spent more than I should when I went to Walmart and I picked up a $48 TV show DVD set.

For myself I got:► Up
Run Fatboy Run
The Mentalist: Season 1
I was supposed to go with Dean to a gift boutique so she could help me pick out my Secret Santa Christmas gifts, but she let me sleep in and went by herself. Paid her back. That meant I only had to go to the grocery store and Walmart tonight. I was still worried and frantic about going out again after Thursday's incident, but I managed to hold it together and was fine.

Every time it's a struggle between my conscious awareness that odds are I'll be fine, and any problems would be easily solved and taken care of, and my subconscious obsessive worry about the slim worst-case-scenarios constantly running through my brain. I'm always at war with my own mind. The bastard.

Have to go out tomorrow morning with Dad to the comic book shop (just there, I think). I now begin the dance of the seven unveiled worries. Especially since I feel stuffed and bloated from my Burger King meal 3 hours ago.

Alec Baldwin Says He’s Done with Acting - Says he plans to retire in 2012. This better fuckin not be true. Baldwin's been in several commercially and critically successful films.

He's possibly the best actor on TV right now and definitely the funniest on 30 Rock (which has a deep talented pool of comic actors). Also, since I saw the trailer on TV the other day, I'm itching to see the upcoming film It’s Complicated, with him and Meryl Streep playing former spouses who can't quite stay separated. Baldwin's fantastic!

Quentin Tarantino Says KILL BILL VOL. 3 Isn’t Next and It’s Not Called KILL BILL VOL. 3 - Bill's dead! That was the whole point of the first 2 movies. Why the hell do people keep thinking the next one would be called Kill Bill Vol 3?

► It's interesting what we find acceptable, and unacceptable.

Quote of the Moment

Michael Clayton: I'm not the guy you kill. I'm the guy you buy! Are you so fucking blind that you don't even see what I am? I sold out Arthur for 80 grand. I'm your easiest problem and you're gonna kill me?
