Hello! On my way to Vancouver/Seattle this Sunday (!), I will be having a nine-hour layover in SF, meaning I'll be able to be in the city pretty much from 11 to 4PM. Woke up around 24 hours ago, after two hours of post-packing sleep, and took the 11 hour flight to NYC. I easily slept a few hours on the flight, got a few extra perks from the flight attendants since one of them was my sister and there is a code, and landed here late this afternoon. So things are still - fraught. News just broke that there's going to be a 72-hour (meaning a weekend-long) ceasefire, during which representatives are supposed to meet in Egypt to negotiate further. Honestly though, I don't see this ending in the next week; can't imagine the IDF pulling out without destroying as many tunnels as they can find. Maybe ( Read more... )
