as for The Wire
I would totally, totally read fic right now were it not for the fact that I'm afraid of being spoiled. So if you have any recs at all -- I assume they'll be from Yuletide or something -- for The Wire fic with no spoilers beyond episode 2x02, I would be very, very happy to receive them. In particular anything that has cop/non-cop interaction, or anything involving Kima and McNulty (ideally both). So much ♥ for the S1 season finale, omg.
Also, I am sure I'm not the only one whose caught on to the fact that Kima and Renee Montoya are basically the same character, and please please please let there be a Gotham Central/The Wire crossover out there somewhere? Pretty please? (I mean, yes, it would be a little redundant because Gotham Central basically is a The Wire/Batman crossover, but still.)
Today's sport du jour, BTW, was jousting. Becuase Ren Faires are awesome, and I really hope (in the nature of my favorite pastime of hoping that fics I want to read exist) that there's a fic somewhere called Panic! at the Ren Faire, because I, I would read that.
I probably have more to say. Um, yesterday I started writing an enormous post about whether or not I should go to Atlanta for Rosh Hashana, and halfway through it I'd already written enough reasons to convince myself not to go, so: I am not going to go at Atlanta. It feels like a surprisingly big weight's been lifted off my chest, so it was, it feels, like the right choice.
