Something very unusual - especially for this time of year - happened today: Edinburgh had clear blue skies and sunshine. It was even quite warm. I'm pretty sure the BBC weather forecast didn't predict this when I checked it last night. In fact, I hadn't given much thought to doing anything outdoors as I had an appointment with the nurse at 1pm to be stabbed in the arm with a needle yet again, and I thought I'd probably just want to curl up on the settee and nod off afterwards. But it was much too nice a day to stay indoors, and I made a spur-of-the-moment decision to trundle down to Leith on the bus with my wee camera. I know my photos are excessively repetitious, but I do think they show how beautiful everything looks on those rare occasions when we get fabulous weather.
What are the chances of there being similar weather tomorrow, I wonder? And what are the chances of one of my front teeth, which has been throbbing and had a dull pain in it this evening, not developing into another excruciating abscess? If that happens, I'll have to spend the day trying to re-sign-up with my previous dentist. If not, I have a vague plan to take the train to one of the new railway stations that have recently opened in East Lothian and Berwickshire (
East Linton and
Reston, respectively), and which I haven't visited yet.
