Edinburgh had the rare experience (for this year, at least) of a full day of beautiful sunshine on 31st August, 2024. Edinburgh finally had a brief interlude of sunshine on 23rd July, 2024, so, following my recent photo of the floral clock which was taken in the dismal weather which has prevailed thus far this summer, I took the opportunity to take a few more photos of it. Unfortunately, I arrived too late in the day, and the clock was mostly in shadow.

My friend Elaine came through to Edinburgh today as she and her husband David were going to see the Manic Street Preachers and Suede, who were playing at Edinburgh Castle in the evening. Edinburgh had its first day of proper summer weather in three weeks today and I felt that I should make the most of it.
