Never Say Never
I never thought I would ever read Narnia fanfic (although I really should have known it existed), much less rec it... but this is a wonderfully thoughtful and moving piece, looking at Susan's headspace and why she turned away from Narnia.

I first read the Narnia books when I was far too young to think critically about them (The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe was actually the first non-Blyton book I chose and bought for myself with my own money, age ~7), and completely took on board the author's and other characters' disdain for Susan's "abandonment" of Narnia. And I never really ever thought about it more carefully than that, but OMG, this fic really lays it out. Poor Susan! <3<3<3
I should go check out some of Vernon's published works now, y/y? *grin*
