Totally meant to post this a while ago. Back in early May I went on a little fly-fishing trip to southeast Minnesota with
nbowa. Since Winston has a fly-fishing theme, I have wanted to get some video fly-fishing in suit for some time. Nbowa was kind enough to oblige me and we were able to get some video on Trout Run Creek, one of my favorite spring creeks in the area. Unfortunately we had heavy thunderstorms the previous day so the creek is up quite a bit and muddy, instead of it's normally picturesque crystal clear water. I was actually able to catch one fairly quickly. Had to resort to stripping a wooly bugger because of the conditions. Would have been nice to get on on the surface with a dry fly, but oh well. Believe it or not, casting in suit really isn't that hard. Handling the line properly though is near impossible.
It was a lot of fun though and I really appreciate Nbowa putting the video together. He did all the filming and editing, adding the music from A River Runs through it. Hope you enjoy.
