Roby & Winston Go to the Pool (video by Nbowa)
So right about a year ago I had an idea for a little skit involving Roby & Winston going to the pool and their different personalities. There was a hotel we stayed at for LAFF softball that was perfect for the filming, lightly used, fairly big interior, and where we could get away with filming without any interruptions. So nbowa, albaz555, dizfoley and I went down early on a Saturday morning. Alabz and Diz filmed a couple of different angles, while I wore Roby and Nbowa wore Winston. We ran through a number of takes and ideas, at least up until then end when it was one take & done (you'll see why). Thankfully we got done just as the hotel noticed us and asked us to stop. Good thing they didn't notice us sooner or else a lot of time wouldn't have gone to waste ;)
I then of course dumped all the raw video on Nbowa and forced him to figure out how to put the video together. Darn lazy cat sure took his time! ;) Filming the skit was a lot of fun and I really appreciated everyone's help in getting it accomplished. A few things I learned:
1.) Wearing fursuits in a pool area that was 100 degrees and 100% humidity is not the greatest.
2.) They don't make water wings in adult size. I picked some up because I thought it would look funny, but they look so puny on my arms.
3.) tzup totally thought that Nbowa was wearing Roby. Apparently I've been going to school on Nbowa fursuiting a bit too much.
4.) A wet fursuit is really, really heavy. At the end I was supposed to "scurry" into a corner. Even sped up to 150% it's not exactly scurrying. I could barely move at the time and didn't want to damage the suit.
Anyway, enjoy the video. I hope to have some ideas for new stuff down the road.
