Next weekend is Gamehole Con in Madison.

The convention is amazingly well-organized, has a slew of great guests, and a huge number of game sessions in the works.

Waiting by the gate for her flight to Hawaii, our friend Daphne sat next to an off-duty pilot busy playing games on his iPad. He was dressed in flight-uniform blues, so it was appropriate that he was playing Flight Control. Happily for Daphne's pre-flight jitters, he played well, landing plane after plane without mishap.

The picture below is from an Inquisition museum in Guanajato, Mexico. I wasn't having fun. Walking among iron maidens and thumbscrews and crow-cages and portraits of priests whose eyes seemed to follow you as you crossed the room, all I could think, in Spanish, was "I'm in the house of my enemies."

This week we had a great vacation in central Mexico with our friends Jorge and Lynn, who recently moved to Leon for work building environmentally advanced homes.
