Final count for Day Two: 55,758

Sep 01, 2008 00:15

I'm still in the lead by five thousand words, all I need for my goal today on the third day is 20,000 more. Of course the book may just run a little longer than last year's. The other half of this annual stunt is bringing its plot to a satisfying finish before the next midnight.

I went on a little farther but I stopped and counted at midnight. Current count is: 56,323 and there is a LOT of plot to pack into the rest of it. Heh. It may have to run long and I may have to type fast in order to pay off on everything I set up. Unless I solve the Mystery Princess and the Black Duke at the same time. There's always been a Black Duke at Mornalak. There is some reason the Black Duke was a completely unmagical lord who had mages among his knights outnumbering them because the Magecroft was there.

"It's called the Magecroft because Yazirek was selling his spells out of it to pay for our horses and equipment." (The Steel Guardian).
