And why is no one writing stories about the Howling Commandos fighting with Captain America and getting drunk every night and having arguments about everything under the sun, from philosophy to ( Read more... )

awww yeah, birthday presents! as a kid my birthday was very contained, coming so close to Thanksgiving it was usually celebrated concurrently -- that's how I came to prefer birthday pie to birthday cake. :D but I love that as an adult, by sheer force of will, I've managed to turn my birthday into a thing that lasts for weeks and involves people all over the map. tl;dr you are awesome.

I love the fact that Ceeturnalia is an annual celebration that can go on for as long as possible. More peoples' birthdays should be celebrated with such enthusiasm and long-lasting joy. <3

I have not watched TVD, so I don't know! This Ceeturnalia refers to Cee's week-long celebration of her natal day. :D

I am not usually a fan of zombie stories, but I am really curious to check out these novels now.

Get well soon!

Because really, it's less about zombies and more about how people change when the world falls apart, and how you find family in the most unexpected places. The zombies have names and dreams and prejudices and loves and regrets, just like humans, and they get to be real people, which I haven't seen in any other books about zombies. For that alone, I would read these books ( ... )

That sounds really, really interesting! I am pretty squeamish when it comes to pictures and films, but usually less so when it comes to books.

I've added the series to my to read-list and will look for it the next time I go book-shopping (very soon).
