Last week, I ran over a jagged piece of automotive steel. It lodged in my bike's rear tire and, every time the wheel rolled over, it punctured my inner tube in another place. Time with my family did me some good. I was originally worried it was going to suck my weekend away at a time when I really need the free days to work. I spent the weekend with my extended family in Moultrie, GA. Grandaddy's funeral was on Saturday. It turns out that the "whole town" didn't turn out for the funeral because they'd held a separate memorial service a day or so before. Their outpouring of support cannot be understated.
