She found herself in a quiet residential area she knew a bit.
Blowing air through her teeth, she started walking to the village center. At least she assumed she did.
She just rounded the first corner when she saw Alicia walking a few feet ahead of her.
"Alicia!" Hannah called and quickened her steps to catch up with her. "Hey!"

"Hannah Abbott! I haven't seen you in a while. How are you?" It might have been months, actually. Alicia had wondered if George and Lee had scared the poor girl off, which would have been reasonable, but still a shame, considering she was such a sweetheart.
Alicia looked around at the houses that weren't student housing, and then back at Hannah, who didn't look so hot. Alicia didn't quite think she could say something about the latter without offending the girl, so she settled on, "What brings you to this side of town?"

"Ohh." Hannah blushed a little bit. "Classes were horrible and I couldn't stand another climb down to the village. So as soon as I reached the barrier, I apparate somewhere in Hogsmeade and here I am, taking a walk to have some oxygen and clear my mind before I tackle dinner and revision."

She grinned when Hannah explained why she was there. "Gotcha. I remember how much the NEWT-level classes stressed me out, and I wasn't doing it like you are, what with the concentrated classes and everything. Do you want some quiet? Or, well, I was thinking of dinner, too- maybe a drink and some food?"
With her headache dissolving and her mood swinging back around to a good one, Alicia could do with some company- she had all weekend to finish up her work, anyway.

"You can be nosy if you want," Alicia said, and then without waiting for her to ask specific questions, because that could take a while, she just shook her head slightly. "I'm dating my best friend from school. It's just confusing sometimes, although the good parts generally outweigh the confusion, and the confusion is mostly my fault. Have I confused you yet?" she asked, smiling slightly. She laughed at Hannah's comment about George and Lee ( ... )

She listened carefully. "No, you haven't. Of course, I have no experience to speak of, but I think it is normal to be confused when something huge like that changes. I mean, I would be."
"I guess." Hannah smiled. "It sounds like you talk about the kids in the ward. Well, minus the sending off, I guess. You don't know what a pain it is to keep a six year old with a broken leg in his bed. And for smartness... we had that little girl in, four or five, and she could read. She said her older brother taught her and then she started reading by herself. Granted, it took her the whole stay but she read all the picture books with the little captures. And for the big words, she asked the boy whose bed was left to hers. It was so cute." Hannah told her tale with enthusiasm.

"Thanks. I think so too," she said, feeling a bit better about it. "And I feel like I'm telling everyone about it. I am, I guess," she laughed. "I'm just so bad at relationships. It's the first real one for me- like, ever."
She listened to Hannah with enthusiasm, grinning and understanding just how she felt. "That does sound awesome. What a smart girl."

"Nothing wrong with telling, I guess. Except I think he should know, so he won't be embarrassed when someone is mentioning it to him." Hannah said. "It is trail and error, I think." She looked at Alicia in surprise. "The first? I thought you and ... one of the Weasley twins..." She blushed and bit her lip. "Oh, forget what I said."
"Really, and she was so good with words. We were very glad when she could go home." Hannah said.
