Ravi and I just exchanged presents (well, about 20 minutes ago) and I love love love my gifts! I'm only updating right now because he's cooking and I'm done with most everything else I needed to do).
I got:
Jhumpa Lahiri- Interpreter of Maladies (She also wrote The Namesake, which I really enjoyed)
Gogol- The Diary of a Madman, The Government Inspector and Selected Stories(Keeping in The Namesake tradition with the Gogol and also catering to my love of Russian writers)
Khaled Hosseini- The Kite Runner
David Sedaris*- When You are Engulfed in Flames (autographed!)
David Sedaris- Holidays on Ice (Mike, I thought of you and when we were listening to Sedaris and almost wrecked your car from laughing so hard!)
Philip Roth- Everyman (you guys are aware of my Roth crush, right?)
Leather-bound copies of Homer's The Iliad and The Odyssey and The Complete works of Louis Carroll (which I, oops, already have, but this copy is nicer than my other one)
A pretty handmade journal
Season 3 of How I Met Your Mother (I got seasons 1 & 2 for my birthday)

A KITCHEN AID MIXER. omg, I was so excited about this. I have wanted a Kitchen Aid mixer for FOREVER. THINK OF ALL THE CAKES I CAN BAKE. hee!
So basically, I kind of have an amazing boyfriend. He also really liked his presents:
This bag for his new SLR camera,
this flash, also for the camera, a vegetarian cookbook, The Dark Knight DVD and a Ticket Stub Diary. (Rest assured that I did not drop all that money at once! I have a Christmas fund through my bank and I've been buying throughout the year.) He seemed to really enjoy his gifts. I kind of feel bad that he got me a ton of books, but the bag and flash were kind of pricey, so I think it evens out.
Well, I think I need to finish wrapping about two presents and then I'll probably head to bed. Hope everyone has a great Christmas!
*Sedaris is kind of a theme this Christmas. I forgot to mention, my friend Sean also got me Sedaris' Naked for Christmas (as well as a snazzy bottle of bright yellow nail polish from Sephora!)
