murtha resolution?

murtha is practically an anagram of yarmuth. is it his idea?

i didnt really realize that. no, jack murtha is a hawkish democrat from ohio who surprized most everyone when he advocated for a pullout from iraq. his ideas have been gaining some steam in our lower house, which is what my guy, yarmuth, is running for. yarmuth supports murthas resolution.

nah i meant what are the nuances of the murtha resolution?

also, this guy is going to be running against that woman you hate (i almost came back to change the verb here to something a little less violent after your last denunciation of republicans but left it), northop or someone yeh? i thought she was a senator. obviously not. what makes it so worthwhile being so completely opposed to a member of the HoR?

The nuances are really dense and really difficult, and would be hard to write down in an lj response, and i dont fully understand them, but they are available at house.gov/murtha and clicking on "jack's stance on iraq." Northup is the scourge of louisville, and she is a member of the House. The House of Representatives is much different from the House of Commons, because people in the US do not generally give their blessing to their party, but rather to the candidate in our single rep. district. This is mainly a product of our directly electing our president. I have often wondered about how GB works, and if people actually know/care who their representative is, or if on the ballots, the ballot only has a party name on it ( ... )

actually, I'd say that registered republicans should vote for yarmuth, too. it's not like many will, but you present it as if only registered democrats can legally vote for democrats. and what's so wrong being registered independent? the two-party system is destroying representative democracy as we know it. we should all be independent.

if you are registered independent, you cant vote in the primary. the way the system works is that the two partys vote among themselves to decide who their nominee is. in the general election, on november 7, all people, republicans, democrats, greens, constitutionalists, socialists, reformists, libertarians, etc, as well as independents will all vote between the nominees for the job, which will be anne northp for the republicans, and whoever the democrats nominate on tuesday (yarmuth), as well as any independents that wish to join the race.

but if you aren't registered as a member of a party, you cannot vote in the primary. so, thats what i meant to say. thats how i meant to say it. vote in november.

Ha. You're on crack for thinking John can beat Rep. Northup. It's three weeks out from the election and his staff still hasn't done anything. I may be a Republican, but you should have paid attention. Colonel Horne raised all kinds of money in just a month. John Yarmuth spent his own money. Horne had wild national support and all the labor support Northup will now garner.

I'll chalk it up to you being 19.

You've also embarrassed yourself for causing controversy. Should tell Dan Borsch not to lie about knowing what you're doing, buddy.
