Unsatisfied
I totally overslept this morning. OK, not so, but I planned on getting up at 830 but didn't. I woke up to Bea's text. I rushed to the TV and saw that Erap was acquitted of perjury but was convicted of plunder.
Good enough, I said to myself.
A bit later, I heard the judge (whoever she is, I don't really care) say that the Court was allowing him to stay in his detention place in Tanay - his fucking rest house. Why? "Considering the accused former position" daw. Putang ina lokohan 'to. Special treatment. Bullshit. Him staying in Tanay makes no difference whatsoever. He should be made to endure real prison like every other criminal out there.
The penalty for plunder is supposed to be death. But since the Philippines abolished the death penalty, Erap's getting reclusion perpetua instead, and he's being made to pay Php500+ million.
I want him to die. Or get life, at the very least. And yeah, pay those millions. Dapat nga ata billions.
