Life in the Time of Pollen

I actually worked today, and minus one small woozy moment, got through my 6 hour shift fine. I'm still sick, but I have Wed and Thursday off to finish the recovery. Of course, once the cold is gone, I still have the allergies to deal with, but at least I'll be stronger. I'm a horrible person when I'm sick. I refuse to admit I am sick, push myself much farther than I should and then end up having a longer recovery. What can I say, I got the stubborn genes from both sides.

There's a whole bunch of Civil War programs on right now. It is awesome to see over the television. The History Channel is actually showing history programs and not reality shows. The Civil War has always been a touchy subject for me, since I was a Yankee in North Carolina learning about it (so not easy), but as the years have gone on, I've become interested in the history. Largely thanks to Boston and all its Civil War Memorials.

Speaking of which, music time. Have some Dropkick Murphys' Broken Hymns
