Well, okay then
I've been trying to get to work since 4:50 this morning. I can't get a cab to come out, my street, driveway and yard are nothing but a friggin' skating rink. I was supposed to be at work at 6am. I don't even know if I'll be able to get there before 10am. I obviously can't walk to work and ugh, this is all not good. I really do want to work but I just cannot get there. NONE of the roads in Charlotte are safe right now. And of course, my store is still open. It didn't close last night, it doesn't have a delay to opening this morning. I just, ugh, I don't know what to do. I've talked to the store managers and explained the situation, but yeah, not good.
EDIT: 5 hours since I first called a cab, still trying to wait to get to work. Finally admitted to the fact there is no way I'm getting to work today. Trying to call the cab company to cancel my ride, but even they're not picking up. So, yeah, City of Charlotte, you REALLY failed during this one. NC DOT, I understand the highways are decent enough, so you get points.
