Sometimes it's the random things that crack you up. Today at work, while co-worker A was planning her grocery store trip:
Co-worker A: What the hell is Watergate Salad?
Me: Salad that says it is not a crook?
One of our managers cracked up laughing. Co-worker A didn't get the joke, so then we had to have a bit of a history lesson. We also had history lesson time on Friday when I explained to her why the Newgrange site is, you know, important. I like to think I'm expanding her knowledge of things without coming off like the over-educated elitist that I sort of am. Granted, all our chats end up with "omg, did you read this true crime/serial killer book/watch the tv special" but, you know, everyone has their things.
I started watching Justified today, thanks to an amazon promo-code and me having no idea what other shows to buy with it. Yup, yet another show that I'm now addicted to and have to catch up on. I'm just now getting to Burn Notice season three, so I'll be watching both at the same time and loving all of it. I am so glad to have some good cop/spy/fbi/cia/other federal authorities shows in my life again.
So, list of shows I really need to catch up on since I now adore them:
Castle (Season Two)
Burn Notice(Seasons Three and Four)
Justified (Season One)
The Good Wife (I've loved it from the pilot, but I kept forgetting to watch it and now am just waiting for the dvds to come out)
True Blood (Season Two) (I don't adore this show, yet, but I am trying. There are characters I like, but the main characters annoy the ever-loving daylights out of me.)
Anybody else have any tv recs out there while I'm in the mood to try new tv shows and still have the power of Netflix? I already have Leverage and Breaking Bad on my list. Me and Fringe haven't been friends since the face-melting bit of the first episode. I'm still making my way through Mad Men.
