First off, they made a Ghostfacers
webseries, which I had to find out through a CSI fansite. It still manages to contain many of the problems that we all know exist with SPN in general, and yet I'd still pay good money for an actual full Ghostfacers spin-off.
Normally I completely shake my head at the comments on various aol-related posts, but I actually have to agree with some of the ones from
this Gadling/aol article. You know what's one thing not funny to make a joke about? That's right, the Bombing of Dresden. I don't care if it's an article about Churchill and his cigar being airbrushed out, they could have used any other phrase in the article but they chose, "faster than you can say 'Dresden Bombing.'"
We have a tenative plan worked out for the move, finally. My brother is going to kill me, but there's really no other way to do it and stay below $1,000.
I watched Invictus the other night and, you know, cried. I'm such a sap. Morgan Freeman does an amazing job and Matt Damon's not too shabby. I just, the life of Nelson Mandela will always amaze me. While the film shows just how strong, powerful and down-right-a-better-human-being-than-the-rest-of-us Mandela is, they also show his flaws, and that's something that I really respect about any film.
I've also started watching Operation Homecoming: Writing the Wartime Expereince which is about veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan, writing about how they experienced their war. One of the opening lines of testimony really got to me: I may not be a very good solider, but I may be a very good witness.
Now time to get ready for work. I've been tapped to work half-of the Saturday shift, so, again, another 40+ hour week, but yay overtime.
