The first of two posts today:
Remembrance Gardens, sign, like everything in Ireland, in English and Irish:
It was a windy day:
All their big statues and monuments are in the medians of the roads:
This made me laugh:
The General Post Office, the site of many an Irish Battle. If you got a postcard from Dublin, your stamps were bought here:
Bullet holes still exist from the Easter Uprising of 1916
General Post Office in full:
I love this monument, really, really do:
Everyone needs an Irish Backalley Shot:
The Oddest, but Coolest, statue thing near the Busaras Bus Station, sign, again, in Irish and English. Oh, those poetic Irish:
The Coolest Damn Internet Cafe Building I've Ever Seen:
Oh, and dear Brad Wright and Rob Cooper,
Fuck You, very much. How is it that I, at the age of 24, am now too old for your audience? How can you not recognize the fact that you just insulted your whole fan base? How is it that you, as two middle-aged men, are going to find a way to write for the youth of the world? And how, exactly, is it going to be Stargate if they are trapped on a ship? (Original, much?) You know, fans like me have been more than supportive of your work, and your wallets, the least you could do is, you know, NOT insult us. Thank god we have Joe Mallozzi out there who, a) actually gave the fans a message which explains what the hell happened, b) actually seems to care for the fans right now and is more than willing to give us a place to vent and c) is willing to communicate with those fans on a personal level. You want to appeal to the younger crowd, Wright and Cooper? Than embrace the internet generation and put your own asses out here on the line of the cold, grey internet. Have the balls to face the fans wrath after insulting us like that.
Yeah, I'm a little pissed.
In other news: Since I no longer have to wear uniform shirts at work, (yay!), I am going to the mall, since all I've bought for months are sleeveless shirts to go under my work shirts.
